and two overseas endeavors with funds raised by the annual United Jewish Appeal campaign.
These agencies provide a wide array of social services, recreational activities,
cultural programs, Jewish events, educational presentations, and more.

Partnership Communities: Rishon LeZion

UJC MetroWest's partnership with the city began in 1978 with Project Renewal, which focused on the disadvantaged neighborhood of Ramat Eliahu, now called Neve Eliyahu. Although Project Renewal ended years ago, UJC MetroWest maintains an active relationship with the neighborhood.  more

Shuttered Short Hills caterer faces possible suit

On April 16, committee members planning Temple Beth Shalom's June 15 dinner met with personnel at Short Hills Caterers to discuss table linens and place settings. Hours later, the kosher caterer closed abruptly, sending the synagogue and many more with parties planned months — and even years — in advance, scrambling.  more
